To send, read, or cancel a secure email to Wachovia Bank through Microsoft Money 2007, please use the following instructions.

Before You Begin
Please review the following information:

  • Occasionally, Wachovia Bank will send important service notices about your Wachovia Online Service through Microsoft Money, so please take a few minutes to review these important service notices and complete any necessary action steps.
  • Wachovia Online BillPay will send an email alert and secure email message through Microsoft Money if any of the following situations occur:
    • A repeating payment series has come to an end.
    • Duplicate payments are scheduled.
    • A payment is returned, rejected, or fails for any reason.
  • If you initiate a payment inquiry from Microsoft Money, we will send our response to your Microsoft Money software. If you initiate a payment inquiry from Online BillPay via the Internet, we will respond through the Message Center online.
  • You can expect a response to most secure email inquires within 48 hours.

Send an Electronic Message to Wachovia Bank
If you are connecting directly to online services in Money, you can send a message to Wachovia Bank to inquire about available bank services, order more checks, or ask about the status of payments, transfers, checks, or other transactions.

Note: Your account must be set up for online services to send a message to Wachovia Bank.

  1. Go to the Account List, under the Banking menu.
  2. In the left pane, under Other tasks, click on View banks and brokerages, and select Wachovia Bank.
  3. Under Use online services, click E-mail Wachovia to ask a question.
  4. On the Compose a message to Wachovia Bank page, click New.
  5. In the Write Letter box, choose the type of letter you want to send:
    • A general-purpose letter regarding direct financial services.
    • A general-purpose letter regarding direct bill payment
    • A letter inquiring about a specific payment
  6. Click Continue
  7. Enter the details of your message, and then click Send.
  8. Follow the instructions on the screen.

If you are connected to the Internet, Money sends this message when you click Send. You must connect again later to receive the response from Wachovia Bank.

    • Help: The Help Window is available wherever you go in Money 2007. If it isn’t open, just click the Help icon in the upper-right corner of your screen. Click Find to search for a word or phrase and click All Topics to see a list of topics available. Money help is online, so you’ll always get the most recent tips and assistance.
    • Instructional Videos: Money 2007 videos demonstrate key tasks and introduce you to new ways to use Money. You’ll find a list of all the videos on the Money Help menu, point to Instructional Videos and then click a title.
    • User’s Guide: To learn how to use Money 2007, and for strategies and tips on keeping your finances in order, click the Help menu, and then click Money User’s Guide.
  • Online Help:
  • Microsoft Money Telephone Support at (866)834-8741, 8:00am to 11:00pm ET, Monday through Friday, and 9:00am to 6:00pm ET, Saturday through Sunday.
  • Call Wachovia Online Services at (800) 950-2296, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
